California Science Test (CAST)
The California Science Test (CAST) is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) external icon. The CAST operational test uses the current California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test delivery system and will be administered online only.
Parent Guide to Understanding
Designed for parents and guardians to address basic questions, such as who takes the CAST, why, when, and how; may be shared during back to school night, at teacher conferences, with annual Student Score Reports, or in other settings as needed
