Election Requirements
ASB/Leadership Class – Self-Nomination Information
Submission Deadline:
All nomination forms must be submitted to Ms. Cooper by the third Friday in April. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Leadership Class Enrollment
Students in 11th and 12th grades who are elected to an ASB office will be automatically enrolled in the ASB/Leadership class.
Eligibility to Run for an ASB Position
To qualify as a candidate, students must meet the following criteria:

Be an active participant in ASB:

Must attend all election information meetings

Must have volunteered for at least two school events

Eligibility to Run for President or Vice President

Candidates must have attended a minimum of seven ASB meetings during the spring semester

Only rising seniors (12th grade) are eligible to run for President
Campaign Advertising Guidelines

All campaign materials must be approved and signed by Ms. Cooper before being displayed

All campaign materials must be removed by 4:00 p.m. the day before the election

Inappropriate or unapproved materials will result in disqualification
Expectations for Elected Officers

Once elected, officers are expected to maintain good standing by attending meetings and fulfilling their duties

ASB officers may not miss more than three meetings per semester

Elected students must uphold all academic and behavioral standards of the academy

Officers are expected to actively promote school spirit, pride, and excellence
Reminder: Complete and submit your Self-Nomination Form by the deadline to be considered for a leadership role in the upcoming school year.

Leadership Class
Students in 11th and 12th grades who are elected to office will be automatically enrolled in the ASB/Leadership class. This class is typically scheduled for 7th period but may vary depending on the school’s schedule.
Eligibility to Run for an ASB Position
Student must be active in ASB:
To be considered an active participant the following must apply:
- Must attend all information election meeting to run for office.
- Must have volunteered for minimum of two events.
Eligibility to Run for President or Vice President:
- Students must have attended at least seven ASB meetings during the spring semester to qualify. Only Seniors can run for president.
- All campaign advertisement must be approved and signed by Ms. Cooper.
- All campaing material must removed by 4:00 pm the day before the election.
- Once Elected, office holder may only miss three ASB meeting per semester.
